At Colliers Assisted Living, we understand that choosing a senior living community is a deeply personal and important decision. Our focus is on making your transition as smooth and supported as possible.

What We Strive to Provide

  • Resident Support & Care – Our team works to foster a welcoming and comfortable environment for all residents, prioritizing safety, respect, and dignity.
  • Transition Assistance – We aim to provide helpful resources and guidance to residents and their families during the move-in process..
  • Satisfaction Review Period – New residents who are paying privately (i.e., not through a government program) and choose to move out within the first 30 days may be eligible for a partial rent refund. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and must follow our internal procedures.

Satisfaction Review Process:

  1. Sharing Feedback – We encourage residents and families to communicate concerns to the Executive Director as early as possible.
  2. Collaborative Solutions – Our team is committed to working with families to address concerns and explore reasonable resolutions within the scope of our policies and resources.
  3. Refund Review – In certain circumstances, and where concerns are not resolved to a resident’s satisfaction, a partial refund (up to 50% of the first month’s private-pay rent) may be requested. This process is discretionary and subject to review by leadership.

Our Resident Experience Communication Plan

To support a smooth transition, we follow a structured check-in protocol:

  • Welcome Message (within 48 Hours)  – Introduces key team members and outlines how to access support.
  • Two-Week Check-In Email – Helps ensure residents are settling in and gives an opportunity to share feedback.
  • 30-Day Touchpoint – Encourages reflection on the experience and identifies any ongoing support needs.

Your Role in the Community:

We believe residents and families are essential partners in creating a positive experience. We encourage all residents to:
  • Proactively communicate concerns or feedback.
  • Participate in programs and events to build familiarity with the community.
  • Share thoughts with leadership to help us continuously improve.
